Turn high-COD wastewater into cleaner effluent and onsite electricity.

Pipeline Organics develops 3D-printed bio-electrochemical fuel cells that reduce organic load in food and beverage wastewater while generating direct current onsite.

Supported by

Food and beverage producers face high wastewater charges, high energy prices, rural utility constraints, and increasing pressure to reduce Scope 2 and wastewater-related emissions.

F&B manufacturers operate on average margins of 11% and face shutdowns due to costs. We enable resilience, competitiveness and sustainable business by reducing their OpEx on issues of water treatment and energy efficiency and carbon intensity

Our Solution:

85% reduction in wastewater pollutants

Turnkey installation

22.8% reduction in total yearly OpEx

Self-power, generates onsite zero-carbon electricity for reuse in your plant and machinery.

Who can benefit
from our technology?

Anyone who produces high
organic-strength wastewaters.

The dirtier your wastewater, and the more you have to pay the water treatment companies for it, the more we can help you avoid your costs. Because it localises water treatment, our solution will be particularly valuable for rural manufacturing, where access to public utilities is difficult.

Our potential users include:

Beer and cider
Whiskey and spirits
Fruit juices
Soft drinks
Dairy
High-strength wastewater
sites in rural locations

We are primarily building out our product in Beer but have proven functionality in all of the above waste types.

Applications producing high-strength wastewater

Our Case Studies

Pipeline Organics helps breweries turn high-strength wastewater from a treatment burden into a source of operational value.

Pipeline Organics helps breweries turn high-strength wastewater from a treatment burden into a source of clean power, lower effluent costs and operational resilience.

Business model

The fuel cells are containerised installations that are provided to the customer onsite against a certain leasing cost. Contracts are built so that the customer has serious savings on water treatment costs and electricity. Pipeline Organics will charge rent/lease for the fuel cell in a way allows significant net savings for the customer.
